To Say veterans woodcraft get out and about in the community is an understatement, this week we started the week with a flying visit to Vision25 in Stockton,
Vision25 is an independent training and social care provider. They are based in Stockton-on-Tees and offer a meaningful option for young people living with a disability, aged 19 plus. So we set them a challenge Bob and Chris took along two scroll saws and a handful of patterns for the guys to have a go. we must say that the young people took to it with all achieving to make an animal of there own choice. many surprised not only us but the staff of Vision25. needless to say we think they want us back. please take a look at the website: vision25
On Wednesday we were out once again this time to Darlington and back with the Headway group, who continued to develop scroll saw and lathe work, but this time we gave them the option of carving a wizard. needless to say all who participated really enjoyed themselves. Headway is an organisation that supports people of all ages who have a brain injury , and helps them to come to terms with it by providing much needed support. please visit the website: headway
then we have had visits on the back of the health and well-being seminar that was held in Richmond North Yorkshire last week, and to round the week off this Saturday we are off to RAF Waddington, for the family fun-day. back late Saturday. Sunday off.
Then the preparation starts for the Cleethorpes Armed forces weekend. So if you are out and about please pop in to say hello.
